Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend starting at least 6–12 months before your intended intake. Some countries and universities have deadlines 9 months in advance. IELTS/PTE preparation alone can take 2–3 months, and visa processing can add another 1–2 months. Starting early gives you the best choice of universities and intake dates.
Requirements vary by destination and institution. Generally: Australia requires 6.0–6.5 overall; UK, USA, and Canada require 6.0–7.0; Germany and Japan often accept lower scores for English-medium programs. Some universities accept conditional offers if your score is slightly below requirement. Our counselors will tell you the exact score needed for your specific course and university.
The amount depends on the country, the course cost, and the living cost at your destination. Generally you need to show approximately one year of tuition plus one year of living expenses — this can range from NPR 30–70 lakhs depending on the destination. Our visa team will calculate the exact amount needed for your specific application and advise on how to present your finances correctly.
Yes — most countries allow international students to work part-time. Australia allows 48 hours per fortnight (unlimited during holidays); UK allows 20 hours per week during term; Canada allows 24 hours per week; New Zealand allows 20 hours per week. Work rights and conditions vary by country and visa type — our pre-departure briefing covers this in detail.
A visa refusal is not the end. Our visa team analyzes the reasons for refusal, addresses the specific concerns raised by the embassy, and builds a stronger reapplication. Many of our students who were initially refused have successfully obtained visas on their second attempt. The key is understanding exactly why the refusal happened — which our team will do with you.
Your initial consultation is completely free. Our service fees are discussed transparently after your profile assessment, and they vary based on the services you need and the destination country. We will always be clear about any costs upfront — there are no hidden charges at Pathway.
Yes. Many countries and institutions welcome students with average academic records, provided other aspects of the application are strong — such as a well-written SOP, good IELTS score, and a clear study plan. Some institutions offer foundation or pathway programs that transition into degree programs. Come in for a free consultation and we'll be honest about your options.
